COINS RECOVERED FROM THE LEATHERS OF NOEL JOHNSON, displayed at the National Speedway Museum as is fitting for these coins, in themselves un-important but they were once owned by one of the speedway pioneers.

John Noel Johnson, pioneer speedway rider, Australian born December 1902, sailed to England aboard the “Oronsay” in 1928 but sadly died in a track accident in August 1931 at Plymouth Speedway riding for the home team in a challenge match with Coventry.
