Danish rider Bo Petersen born on the 21st February 1953 in Bolbro, Denmark came to the UK to ride speedway at the age of 20 riding at Hackney Hawks from 1978 until the track closed in 1983 when he moved to Swindon Robins.

Riding for Swindon Robins until the end of the 1985 season when he retired (possible following some ill feeling and rumours) but he was back in the saddle at Kings Lynn in 1988.  From the records I can find he seemed to alternate between Kings Lynn and Wolverhampton Wolves from 1985 until 1990 before dropping a league and joining Arena Essex Hammers from 1991 to 1993. He then retired from racing in the UK.

He qualified for the World Final Championship in 1984 when it was held in Göteborg, Ullevi finnishing 7th and in 1980 he was the Danish Champion.
