Boocock Brother’s Exhibit

The photograph above shows items used by Nigel Boocock during his illustrious career. Of particular interest perhaps the blue leathers that either gave him the nickname Bluey or perhaps were acquired because of the nickname.

On the right is the trophy won on the bike above and the information on the notice reads: -

When he was top scorer

This is the bike ridden by his equally skilled younger brother Eric Boocock when he won the British Championship in 1974, the blue sign is a certificate awarded to the best speedway bike at the Telford Offroad Festival in 2012.

Both bikes have been restored by Darren, Eric Boococks son and are on loan to the museum by Neil Machin, Sheffield team promoter.
