What can you say about this man, he is a true Legend, born May 23, 1933 in Tranås, Sweden, He was known by the nickname of "the Fox" because of his red hair.

He joined Swedish team Filbyterna in 1951 at the age of 18 and stayed with them until 1957, he began to emerge as a world prospect in 1953 during a tour of England with the Swedish side Filbyterna.

The following year 1954 he made his World Final debut at Wembley, finishing last with two points on a bike that was virtually home-made, But his potential was spotted by the veteran star Aub Lawson of Australia, He suggested that to expand his ability he should ride in England, after a winter's season in Australia with him he joined Lawson at Norwich in 1955, rapidly becoming a star.

Riding in England paid off, in his second season for the Norwich Stars he qualified and then won the Speedway World Final Championship at Wembley in 1956, in 1957, 1958, 1959,  he was Runner Up,  he won the Speedway World Final Championship again in 1960, 1961, 1963 & 1967 and in 1962, 1964, 1965, he was third in the Championship.

He stayed with Norwich Stars right through until the track closed at the end of the 1964 season, following this he rode for the Long Eaton Archers 1966, Belle Vue Aces in 1967 and Wembley Lions in 1970.

He was with Swedish team Kaparna from 1958-1971.
